Manager of Riverside Sushi Café Arrested for Harboring Illegal Aliens

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A Riverside sushi restaurant is back in business.

Riverside Sushi Café closed briefly after the feds busted the manager for dealing in something other than raw fish.

Several employees are illegal aliens, according to a criminal complaint by a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent.

The investigation began in February 2009, when ICE agent Christopher Note received information that Ying Lin, who also goes by John Lin and several other aliases, was involved in harboring illegal Chinese aliens.

During the investigation, Agent Note determined Lin paid the rent and utilities for at least three apartments at The Villas at St. Johns, where more than a dozen tenants were staying.

Four admitted to ICE they are Chinese citizens in the United States illegally.

Those illegal aliens were also employees of Riverside Sushi Café, where Lin is the manager, vice-president and possible owner, according to the complaint.
