Riverside Arts Market Now Accepting Resumes for Market Director Position | Arts & Culture
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Riverside Avondale Preservation (RAP) is proud to announce Torrie Parette as the Interim Director for the Riverside Arts Market.
Torrie has been the Volunteer Coordinator for the Riverside Arts Market since April 2011. Ms. Parette has an extensive background in sales and proven interpersonal skills. “Torrie is exactly the right person for this job,” said Carmen Godwin, RAP’s Executive Director. “She offers continuity for our market vendors, and she’s organized, professional, and high energy, which will ensure that RAM continues to thrive.”
The RAP Board has already assembled a Search Committee for the new Director position, headed by Sunny Gettinger, RAM Advisory Committee Chair. “We are looking for someone who has vision for the Market’s future, ideas for increasing RAM’s visibility and a keen business sense,” said Ms. Gettinger. “We have a great team ready to conduct a search for someone who will develop the market’s potential as an attraction for locals and visitors alike with a strong focus on our economic impact in Jacksonville.”
The Market Director serves as logistics staff and main point of contact for the City, vendors, marketing outlets, sponsors and volunteers. The Riverside Arts Market is a highly successful weekly arts venue located on the Jacksonville Riverwalk under the Fuller Warren Bridge and is open every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., March through December.
