Do you “Believe in Heroes”?

Believe in Heroes is a Wounded Warrior Project™ initiative that calls on Americans to recognize the enormous sacrifices made by our newest generation of veterans and to honor the service of these individual over a two-month campaign leading up to Veterans Day. The Believe in Heroes campaign will provide the American public with an opportunity to show their support and appreciation of our veterans in their communities, and across the nation

Jacksonville events include a commemorative run, bicycle ride, motorcycle run Veterans recognition ceremonies. Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) began when several veterans and friends, moved by stories of the first wounded service members returning home from Afghanistan and Iraq, took action to help others in need. What started as a program to provide comfort items to wounded service members has grown into a complete rehabilitative effort to assist warriors as they recover and transition back to civilian life. This transition is fueled by the need for something more tangible than bands and parades. There is a huge number of Veterans residing in the NorthEast Florida area that are severely wounded, mentally, physically and in some cases both, along with their families that need a gentle push to start down the healing road.

The Wounded Warrior Project is there to provide that push, give the Veteran and family a hand to hold on, a shoulder to lean on, (or cry on). Our heroes benefit will serve not only as a fundraiser, but also a show of support for the Veteran, letting them know that we reaffirm our support and rededicate our sacred bond. Our warrior brothers gave unselfishly of themselves, now it is our turn to give that back
