Commercial shoot to impact traffic Wednesday | News
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A Lexus television commercial being filmed in Jacksonville on Wednesday will impact traffic on the Acosta Bridge.
The area impacted will be the Riverside Avenue exit ramp on the Acosta Bridge. The commercial is being shot on the shoulder of the ramp. Only traffic exiting via the Riverside Avenue will be delayed.
The commercial is being shot from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Jacksonville Film and Television Office said they will do a hold-and-release traffic plan to minimize any impact to motorists.
The production company plans to have four traffic holds per hour during the shoot. Each hold should last no longer than 2-4 minutes.
We spoke with Todd Roobin with the Jacksonville Film and Television Office. He said Lexus wasn't willing to divulge any specifics such as the models that will be featured or what the plot will be. However, he did say that Jacksonville was chosen for it's "beautifiul skyliine" and way it can be framed.
Roobin said the commercial is expected to air on all major broadcast networks as well as cable. The goal is to have it running in 30 to 45 days.
