JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Events on the First Coast were washed out last weekend because of Tropical Storm Beryl, so this weekend it's time to get out and enjoy the sunshine!

HALE & HEARTY 7K: Saturday, June 2 8:00 a.m. at Riverside Arts Market, the Health Planning Council of Northeast Florida presents the Hale & Hearty 7K run through the Riverside and Avondale areas, celebrating healthy communities and happy and healthy places. Race begins and ends at the Riverside Arts Market.
RIVERSIDE ARTS MARKET: The Riverside Arts Market is an outdoors arts event that features local artists, live music, street performers, gourmet food artesans, fresh local produce and more. Held Saturdays, March-December, in the historic Riverside-Avondale district of Jacksonville, Riverside Arts Market encourages the support of local artists, performers and food artesans, and offers an alternative local shopping outlet for the Jacksonville community. It runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
FISHING FOR THE CURE: Former Jacksonville Jaguar David Garrard's fishing tournament benefiting the David Garrard Foundation is Saturday June 2nd. Each boat entry includes tickets to the MVP Party that will occur at Nippers Beach Grille! General entries receive two tickets and Premium entries include four. This party will start with the weigh in at 6 PM and will continue until 10 PM. This casual benefit will feature NFL players and other sports professionals, an auction, autographs, dancing with a live band and great food and drink. Additional MVP Party Tickets tickets are available for $100 per person; $50 for juniors (under 18 years of age). Boat registration is NOT required to purchase an MVP Party ticket. RIDING OUT OF THE DARKNESS COMMUNITY MOTORCYCLE RIDE/CAR AND TRUCK SHOW: Join in on the 2nd Annual Riding Out of the Darkness Ride Saturday morning. This year they are incorporating a car and truck show! All Proceeds benefit the First Coast Chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Price: $25 to register plus $10 per passenger.
M.A.D D.A.D.S PIECE/PEACE MOTORCYCLE RIDE 2012: M.A.D. D.A.D.S JACKSONVILLE CHAPTER is hosting it's annual motorcycle ride June 2, 2012. The theme for this year is Piece/Peace bringing together motorcycle groups and individuals from every walk of life to ride for peace. It starts at the FSCJ north campus.
FEEL THE WHEELS: The Junior Service League of St. Augustine presents Feel the Wheels, benefitting the Children's Museum of St. Johns. At the St. Augustine Premium Outlets, the event allows kids to see, touch, explore, and honk the horns of their favorite trucks and emergency vehicles from 10 to 4. It's just $5 for children ages 2 to 16 and free for adults.
DRAKE'S RAID: Celebrate the anniversary of the raid of Sir Francis Drake during a re-enactment in downtown St. Augustine. Drake raided St. Augustine in 1586 with 23 ships carrying 2,000 Englishmen. One thousand of these men came ashore on Anastasia Island and shot cannons at a Spanish wooden fort located where the Fountain of Youth Park stands today. From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., see living history demonstrations and an encampment at the Fountain of Youth, 11 Magnolia Ave., from San Marco Avenue, in uptown St. Augustine. At 7 p.m., a sacking and burning of the town re-enactment will begin at the City Gates on Saint George Street and will continue down to the Plaza de la Constitucion, between King Street and Cathedral Place. www.DrakesRaid.com.
REPTICON - A REPTILE & EXOTIC ANIMAL CONVENTION: Repticon offers the opportunity to shop from a large mix of local and regional breeders and vendors offering reptiles, amphibians, other exotic animals, supplies and merchandise. It's all Saturday, June 2 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.at the Grand Banquet Hall of the University Center at UNF. Repticon features, at the top of each hour, presentations covering a broad range of exotic animal topics, which may include guest interactin with the animals. Price: Admission Adult = $10; Children (5-12) $5; Free for 4 & Under.
BEACH BASH: The event for all ages will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Anastasia State Park, 1340 A1A South. Beach Bash will feature a "Treasures of Anastasia" scavenger hunt a sandcastle/sculpture contest; interpretive programs by park rangers; and an informational booth by the Friends of Anastasia, the park's citizen support organization. Admission is $8 per vehicle for up to eight people, and $2 for pedestrians and bicyclists. Call 461-2033.
MY BIG FAT GREEK FOOD FESTIVAL: June 9-10th at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. Delicious food, beautifully costumed dancers, a Kids Area with rides and games all combine to make My Big Fat Greek Food Festival a weekend of family fun! Join in the festivities on June 8-10 at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 2940 CR 214 (West King Street just before the I-95 overpass). Festival hours are Saturday, 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. and Sunday from 12 p.m. - 7 p.m. This summer food festival gives the community another opportunity to sample Greek food and culture in St. Augustine. The weekend's featured event is an "An Evening of Comedy with Basile" at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 9th in the church fellowship Hall. Basile has entertained millions of comedy fans in the United States as well as internationally. VILANO 5K: The North Shores Improvement Assocation (NSIA) will hold the 16th annual Vilano Bridge 5K Run and Walk. The race start will begin at 8 a.m. from the Athletic Field behind NSIA Community Center, 120 Meadow Ave., Vilano Beach. The rune will continue over the Vilano Bridge and go back to the athletic field. A country breakfast and community flea market also will begin at 8 a.m. at the at the community center. Sponsored by Creekside Dinery, the breakfast will be $4 for runners, $5 for adults, and $3 for children. Early race registration will be $20 per runner from 5 to 7 p.m. June 1, with a packet available at that time for pick-up. Day-of-race registration is $25 per person and will begin at 7 a.m. June 2. SUMMER FUN & WELLNESS FESTIVAL: The FREE Summer Fun & Wellness Festival is at the Farmer's Market off Beaver Street Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Along with fresh fruits and vegetables for sale, they'll have live entertainment, cooking demonstrations from local chefs, bounce houses, face painting and a visit from Clifford the Big Red Dog for the kids.
EVERY WOMAN'S ARTS AND CRAFTS FESTIVAL: The 14th annual Every Woman's Arts & Crafts Summer festival will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the St. Johns County Ocean Pier Pavilion. Expect paintings, ceramics, pottery, crochet, embroidery, candles, soaps, textiles, handbags, photography and more. STAND UP PADDLE BEACH DEMO DAY WITH BLACK CREEK OUTFITTERS: Sunday, June 3 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at The beach at Atlantic Blvd., Atlantic Beach, FL. Join Black Creek Outfitters and the Stand Up Paddle Jacksonville Meetup group for a day of trying out SUP boards at the beach. At this event you will be free try out paddle boarding at the beach, especially it's surfing aspect. This is a free open event, so just show up, sign a waver, and your free try try out one of Black Creek's SUP boards in the ocean. 2012 BFAST KIDS TRIATHLON: BFAS Racing is proud to present the 2012 BFAST Kids Triathlon. This is a Swim, Bike & Run triathlon for kids ages 6-13.
