JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Post and Margaret Streets re-opened before 7:30 a.m. Monday after being closed due to a fire, according to Jacksonville Fire Rescue.

Tom Francis, with JFRD, said crews were dispatched at 3:30 a.m. to respond to the fire.  First responders on scene told First Coast News that when they arrived the restuarant was a "wall of flames".

Wasabi Buffet, a Japanese sushi, was destroyed by the fire. Firehouse Subs which is adjacent to the buffet sustained smoke damage and water damage.

An investigation into what sparked the blaze is underway by the fire marhal's office.  Francis says the preliminary damage estimate is around $1 million.
