News

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Some of Jacksonville's female business leaders will make a political stand today.

A news conference is going to be held today at 2:30 p.m. at the Avondale Gift Boutique.

A news release about the event says the women business owners will be voicing their opinions that Florida business owners and women are not better off under President Obama and they will be voicing their support for  Gov. Romney and Paul Ryan.

Florida is a very important state in this election, the First Coast has already seen visits from President Obama and Gov. Romney and will likely see more as the election season continues. One of the major topics at the Republican National Convention last week was the economy and jobs.

Currently the Democratic National Convention is underway in Charlotte and President Obama is expected to speak Thursday.

Also one of the anticipated speakers is President Clinton, who will likely focus his speech on the economy and jobs.
