St. Vincent's CEO Offering FREE Personal Training to Promote Fitness

He may be a busy man as the President and CEO of our healthcare system but that’s not stopping Moody Chisholm from hitting the gym. In fact, he’s such a proponent of exercise and fitness that Chisholm and Associate Health have struck up an interesting deal by offering two St. Vincent’s HealthCare associates free personal training sessions. If associates join the on-site fitness center during the first week of January, they’ll be entered to win a free personal training session with their very own CEO.

Aside from working in healthcare for more than three decades, Chisholm has a lot of experience with physical fitness. For several years he took part in power lifting competitions. Currently, he works out several days a week with a heavy focus on weight lifting.

This year, St. Vincent’s HealthCare was recognized by the American Heart Association as a “Smart! Fit-Friendly Company” for having an environment that fosters healthy lifestyles.  St. Vincent’s offers associates and volunteers membership to an on-site 24-hour fitness center. The Riverside campus has beautiful river-front walking paths, morning and evening Zumba classes and evening yoga classes. Some associates also take advantage of the clean, safe stairwells as a way to fit in exercise at work.

As a health leader, Chisholm takes every opportunity to promote active living.  By offering associates a chance to win free personal training sessions, he hopes he will send a message to all associates about the importance of physical activity.
