Walk to Cure Diabetes is this Saturday
More than 5,000 walkers will participate in the Annual Walk to Cure Diabetes benefiting the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) North Florida Chapter on Saturday, April 9th at the Jacksonville Fairgrounds. The local chapter’s goal is to generate $575,000 for research of type 1 diabetes and its complications. This year’s Walk presented by Vistakon, CSX, Lender Processing Services (LPS) and the GATE Foundation, has festivities planned to begin at 8 a.m. with the D-Line of the Jacksonville Jaguars leading walkers out of the Fairgrounds onto Bay Street for the three mile walk official beginning at 9 a.m.
